Job Description

  • Lead and be responsible for researching acquisition target entities or recruits.
  • Lead or assist on varying size projects to help deliver desired outcomes for all parties in accordance with the agreed timetable and Group risk appetite.
  • Produce outline project plans which address the key risks and assimilates information to key parties.
  • Produce accurate financial models/forecasts and present results to team members. Liaise directly with Partner Finance to arrange Internal finance where required.
  • Undertake financial due diligence on target recruits/acquisitions and report findings to team members. Keep appraised of industry trends, regulatory updates, and competitor activity.
  • Produce reports and agreements to high levels of accuracy and to tight deadlines. Present findings as required.
  • Keep internal team members updated on progress and timetables. Lead associated calls.
  • Lead on the monitoring of current/historical acquisitions and develop the effective presentation of relevant MI.

Licences and Qualifications

  • Essential: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint). Advanced skills In MS Excel (Pivot Tables, LookUps, IF-Function etc.). Preferred: Visio, Intelligent Office.
  • Able to understand key drivers of business performance and their impact to primary financial statements. Converting understanding along with future assumptions into accurate financial models.
  • Experience of conducting due diligence or audits on Corporates.
  • Studying for a recognised accounting or similar professional qualification in a finance field.
  • Thorough understanding of how the Partnership operates within SJP, how the Partnership is remunerated and key variables which impact profit and cashflow.
  • Intermediate understanding of key performance measures within SJP and able to apply these in the context of acquisitions.
  • Analytical and able to assimilate/interpret large quantities of data concisely both written and verbally.
  • Able to understand processes and procedures and suggest and design improvements.
  • Self-motivated, inquisitive, able to work independently and manage busy project workload.
  • Credible and confident presenting information to different groups.
